The Year of the Basilisk
Rounding up another Year Zero, to date, with live show tickets and more.
We’ve been busy writing, podcasting, and preparing to produce a play in St. Paul. Here’s a review of what’s happening, with links to ticketing for both MODERATION in St. Paul and Art of Darkness Live in Detroit this October.
RIP CORMAC MCCARTHY
Most recently, the great Aaron Gwyn joined us on the Art of Darkness podcast to go through the life and legacy of the singular author of the gnostic American fever dream: Cormac McCarthy.
ART OF DARKNESS LIVE: THE DEATH OF HARRY HOUDINI
We’re doing our second Art of Darkness Live show this October 26th in Detroit: THE DEATH OF HARRY HOUDINI. Tickets are on sale now, and who doesn’t love Detroit in the Fall? Come hang out with ol’ Pulp and Slick and see how the podcast sausage gets made.
BASILISK
Abbie Lucas and I wrote a new AI horror radio drama for Dark Pony Radio, called BASILISK, in two parts. These are on Spotify now:
BASILISK PART I: ETERNAL SEPTEMBER
BASILISK PART II: THE KING’S PACT
(We’re hard at work on the book for KILLDOZER: THE MUSICAL now, so stay tuned for that hot shot of pure Americana)
MODERATION
I went to the Valdez Theatre Conference in Alaska to put some finishing touches on MODERATION, my play about social content moderators losing their minds at work, in June. We’re premiering this play in St. Paul at the Hive this October 3-13, with an exceptional cast and crew.
